The Vision of ETA:
The vision of Comox Valley Elders Take Action is of a community where elders receive respect, honour and support, plus the services they need to address isolation, poverty, lack of transportation, good quality of care so that, whenever possible, they can age in place and be an integral part of their community.
The Mission of ETA:
The mission of Comox Valley Elders Take Action is, through meetings and other actions in the community to:
a) raise awareness about the issues facing elders in relation to their changing abilities, the lack of and/or inadequacy of services available for them, and the negative societal view of older people.
b) as elders, help each other obtain information, services and a voice in society.
c) encourage conversations and an act as an interface between caregivers and elders.
d) speak out in support of elders and in support of improved services for them.
